Maple Leaf Marinas ("MLM") is the largest owner and operator of marinas, marine resorts, and boat dealerships in Canada. MLM's fast growing portfolio comprises 14 locations throughout the Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay and Muskoka Regions.
We are looking for an energetic individual to join our Waterfront Team at Baysville Marina. The Dock Hand will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of tasks at the marina, such as customer service, boat rentals, sales of ice cream and fuel.
This is a seasonal full-time or part-time opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Greet, communicate and discuss with customers all aspects of their marina experience
- Assist with retail sales, safety orientation for boat rentals, and general customer service
- Work alongside other colleagues to ensure that all rental needs are taken care of in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
- Assist with cleaning of the marina and grounds as needed
- Weekend work will be required at times during the summer months
- Any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will need to have the following experience:
- Prior marina experience is preferred
- Boating experience and knowledge is an asset
- Must have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Valid Ontario Boating License
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and team approach

The Opportunity

The Marine Technician Apprentice will work closely with our Lead Technician inspecting, servicing, and repairing marine engines for our clients. As a Marine Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for inspecting and servicing engine equipment, troubleshooting, and performing repairs.
To ensure success as a Marine Technician Apprentice, you should have a basic understanding of inboard and outboard engines, be able to work on land and on the water, and be able to diagnose problems with electrical systems.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and health benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Traveling to marina or dock where the vessel is located
- Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems
- Carrying out services and minor repairs on outboards, and inboards
- Troubleshooting engine and electrical problems
- Replacing broken or worn-out engine parts
- Completing service records and repair documents
- Winterizing and summer prepping of all marine systems and accessories
- Complying with the Company's Health and Safety Policy and other issued procedures and guidelines, and with recognized good working practices
- Complying with marina regulations regarding dress and expected modes of behaviour
- Any other duties as assigned by management

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
The Yard Supervisor will be responsible for the following primary functions:
- Control the flow of the boat yard, moving boats with trucks, tractors and forklifts.
- Preferred applicants will have a positive attitude, be energetic, hardworking, excel in communication, time management, and be reliable, dependable, and a team player.
- Required to load, unload, and move product of large weight and length in sometimes tight quarters with forklifts, tractors, trucks.
- Pick up and deliver boats as required by truck occasionally.
- Keep yard and work space organized and departments moving, by having work lined up and removing completed jobs.
- Full time, working weekdays, weekends, some holidays, and overtime.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, able to handle a large work load, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, often dusty environment.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Boat Detailer & Cleaner to join our team at Baysville Marina.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and potential for benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Boat Detailer & Cleaner will be responsible for the following primary functions:
- Clean restrooms, office and common areas, docks, equipment and other areas as requested
- Ensure boats coming out of storage get a thorough cleaning prior to being launched for the customer
- Responsible for cleaning our Air BNB rental in a timely manner upon guests checking out, and prior to new guests checking in
- Collect/dispose of trash, and notify management of any damages, deficiencies or disturbances
- Check stocking levels of all cleaning supplies and notify management of any needs
- Maintain awareness of safety issues and report any findings to management
- Perform such other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will need to have the following experience:
- Prior cleaning experience is preferred
- Team player and a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend work during the summer months
- Must be comfortable with physical work, sometimes in challenging weather conditions

We are looking for an energetic individual to join our team at Baysville Marina. The Marina Administrator will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of tasks at the marina, such as customer service, boat rentals, store inventory, parts ordering, service writing, scheduling customer appointments, and overseeing our on-site Air BNB.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and health benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Greet, communicate and discuss with customers all aspects of their marina experience
- Assist with retail sales, boat rentals, and general customer service
- Work alongside other colleagues to ensure that all rental needs are taken care of in a timely manner
- Take and manage reservations over the phone, and in person
- Assist the service team with scheduling and invoicing service work while following guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist the Office Manager for the Region with basic bookkeeping and collecting receivables
- Promptly respond to emails, phone calls and other inquiries from customers
- Weekend work will be required at times during the summer months
- Any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will need to have the following experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Prior marina or automotive experience is preferred
- Boating experience and knowledge is an asset
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and team approach
